Purpose of Position:

The purpose of the Strategic Account Manager position is to generate sales in the Commercial, Education, Wireless, Contractor and/or Government markets to perspective, new, and existing customers.  The Strategic Account Manager must be able to discuss multiple technical solutions and assist customers with selecting the best choice for the strategic business goals.

Requirements:

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

 

Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent working experience.  Must have a valid driver’s license and car insurance.  Preferred technical certifications:  Cisco Sales Expert, Enterasys Sales Expert, HP ASP Certification

Specialized Knowledge:

 

Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Project, Word; Networking Fundamentals; Understanding of sales process including:  planning, prospecting, presenting solutions, closing, and maintaining accounts; Knowledge of multiple technical disciplines required including network infrastructure, VoIP, PBX phone systems, security systems and wireless systems

Kind and Length of Experience:

 

Minimum of 2-4 years in high technology sales environment, industry experience in networking, storage, and switching technologies, telecommunications and wireless.  Selling to CFO/CIO, or Information Technology Managers.
