Infrastructure/Telecommunications Technician:
Works on the communications infrastructure installation team under the direction of the Lead Installer. The infrastructure installation team deploys engineered installations to BICSI ITSIMM / ABLE standards without disruption to customers. They are responsible for the installation of CAT5E, CAT6, and fiber optic cable for voice and data networks. They also install RG6, RG11, and RG59 coax cable for video surveillance and security systems.
Requirements:

· High school diploma or GED · Must have valid driver’s license, a vehicle in working condition and must be insurable by the employer’s carrier · BICSI certifications or equivalent experience · 3 to 5 years infrastructure installation experience, copper, fiber, coax · Fiber Optic termination, (anaerobic and /or Corning Unicam) · Experience in Fiber and Copper certification testing · Abilities to read project plans · Necessary communications tools for the trade · Able to work out of town 75% to 80% of the time, (with-in Arizona) · Ability to work alone or as part of a team
* Installation of wireless including line of site point-to-point links, tower construction a plus * Security special systems experience, (CCTV, Intrusion, Card Access, etc.) |
