Network Engineer
Microsoft Expert with Exchange 2007, Active Directory, OCS, and 5 – 7 years of general networking experience. This important opportunity is accountable for implementing the designs and Scopes of Work generated by Sales and Engineering. These duties include installations, configurations, and troubleshooting the equipment to meet the goals of both internal and external customers. In addition, this position is responsible for resolving non-project based computer issues such as repairs, reconfigurations, and training.
This interesting position involves a large percentage of indoor work with some outdoor work requirements as well and extensive automobile travel of approximately two or more days per week
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in a computer related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver’s license and a fully functioning vehicle
- Industry recognized networking certifications – MCSE 2003 or higher and Cisco/Enterasys/HP
- Extensive hands-on experience with routers, switches and servers
- Strong knowledge of OSI, network protocols (including TCP/IP/IPX), network technologies, design (CCNP/ESE)
- Experience with SAN architecture and virtualization technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Telephone key and PBX system knowledge
- Advanced customer service skills and experience
- Ability to handle heavy lifting during installations
- Ability to work a varied 40 – 55 hour per week schedule including occasional evenings and/or weekends as per customer needs
Previous telecommunication knowledge/experience preferred
